The Whitefish Community Foundation (WCF) presents the 2nd Annual Great Fish Community Challenge that kicked off July 12th. 40 local non-profits have been selected to participate. We have a two month window of opportunity to maximize YOUR donations that are critical to helping us break down the barriers to inclusive outdoor recreation and help support our mission to increase the quality of life for people with disabilities. Last year together we raised $15,790. The WCF matched our donations at 53% to give us a total of $23,772.76. With our programs constantly growing we are able to keep fees low and offer many programs for free. This year we have challenged ourselves to reach $25,000. In the past year DREAM gave 1300 lessons for our Winter Alpine Program at Whitefish Mountain Resort,over 100 adaptive athletes came out for our 8th Annual Summer Water Sports Program, and we established our Stand Up Paddle Board Program. We have big plans for the future and would love to add more recreational programs as well planning for a facility to call home.
