The Great Fish Community Challenge is a charitable giving campaign designed to maximize donations to participating charities.
With a single gift made through the Whitefish Community Foundation during the Great Fish Community Challenge campaign period, June 9 through September 18, 2015, donors can contribute to any number of participating local charities. Nonprofits receive 100% of designated gifts. Your contributions will help earn your favorite charities a MATCHING GRANT from the Whitefish Community Foundation allowing your money to make a greater impact in our community.
Thanks to the Circle of Giving donors, the Whitefish Community Foundation is putting a minimum of $150,000 in a matching grant fund known as the GREAT FISH FUND. Individuals who would like to give to the match can make a gift to the Great Fish Fund. The final percentage match awarded to participating nonprofits will vary annually.
The Challenge culminates with a community celebration, featuring entertaining and interactive booths from all participating nonprofits and the Fish 5K Color Run to be held on September 12 in Depot Park, downtown Whitefish.
